  1. hai un iPhone 15 Pro o successivo con iOS 27, oppure un Mac con chip M e macOS 27;
  2. Apple Intelligence è accesa (Impostazioni di iOS › Apple Intelligence e Siri) e ha finito di scaricare i suoi file;

Casa o Pro: quale scelgo?

Hob erkennt nichts: Warum?

Die automatische Erkennung nutzt Apple Intelligence auf dem Gerät. Sie funktioniert, wenn:

  1. Sie ein iPhone 15 Pro oder neuer mit iOS 27 haben oder einen Mac mit M-Chip und macOS 27;
  2. Apple Intelligence eingeschaltet ist (iOS-Einstellungen › Apple Intelligence & Siri) und ihre Dateien fertig geladen hat;

  1. vous avez un iPhone 15 Pro ou plus récent avec iOS 27, ou un Mac avec puce M et macOS 27 ;
  2. Apple Intelligence est activée (Réglages d'iOS › Apple Intelligence et Siri) et a fini de télécharger ses fichiers ;

How do I choose the place before shooting?

On the camera screen, tap the green “Where is it?” pill at the top left. Choose the place (for example “Home”), then the room, the furniture and the box. If a place doesn't exist yet, you create it right there.

From then on every photo goes to that place, until you change it. The app remembers the last place you chose. While nothing is chosen yet, the pill pulses to remind you.

Why is an item marked “to confirm”?

Every photo becomes an item straight away, so you can keep shooting. Hob looks at it afterwards, in the background, and suggests a name, a category and a card.

It's a suggestion: that's why the item stays “to confirm” until you've checked it. In the catalogue a row at the top gathers them all; the counter at the top right of the camera opens them too. Hob never overwrites what you wrote yourself.

How do I take several photos of the same item?

Before shooting, turn on the little “Add more shots of the same item” button, above the library button: the next photos all go to the same item. Turn it off when you're done; only then does Hob look at it.

If you've already taken the photo, open the preview of the last shot and add another photo to that item from there.

I have several identical pieces: how do I count them?

Photograph just one. Right after the shot, tap the piece count (“×”) on the last item and choose how many there are. You can also change the number later, on the card. The catalogue shows both items and pieces.

Hob doesn't recognise anything: why?

Automatic recognition uses Apple Intelligence, on the device. It works if:

  1. you have an iPhone 15 Pro or later with iOS 27, or a Mac with an M-series chip and macOS 27;
  2. Apple Intelligence is turned on (iOS Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri) and has finished downloading its files;
  3. you're not using a simulator: Apple's model isn't there.

If any of these is missing, items are still saved, with photo, place and pieces: you complete the card by hand. When Apple Intelligence is available again, Hob picks up the waiting items the next time the app starts.

How do I export the photos?

In the catalogue, open the menu (the circle with three dots, at the top) and choose “Export photos of these items”: out come the photos of the items you're looking at, so with search and filters you decide which ones. From Hob's map you can also export the photos of a single place.

A dated folder is created, sorted by place, room and furniture, which you save wherever you like in the Files app. Only share photos you have the right to give to others.

Home or Pro: which should I choose?

Home is for everyone: only the essentials in view (photo, name, place, pieces, value), everything else in “More details”. Pro is for small second-hand and antique shops: it adds an item code, purchase and sale price, margin, for sale, reserved or sold, and origin.

Switch any time, in the app's Settings or from the catalogue menu.

How do I change the app's language?

Open the app's Settings and tap “App language”. The new language applies the next time you open the app: close it and open it again. Item cards are written in Italian, German, French and English.

What is the image filter?

HobClick uses Apple's on-device check: if a photo is explicit, it isn't saved and a warning appears. The check happens on the device, no photo is sent anywhere.

Apple only runs it if “Sensitive Content Warning” is turned on: Settings › Privacy & Security › Sensitive Content Warning. HobClick's Settings show whether it's on.

Where are my photos? And backups?

The photos live inside HobClick, reduced in size, not in your camera roll. If iCloud sync is on, the catalogue with its photos is also in your private iCloud, and you'll find it on your other devices with the same Apple ID. Turn it off in the app's Settings, “Sync with iCloud”.

HobClick is also part of your iCloud or computer (Finder) backup, if you have it turned on.
